If you have a Microsoft Excel file that holds your inventory, you can save time by uploading it directly to Tango Trade.
The ideal Excel Inventory file should have as many details in columns as possible.
Tango Trade asks for Manufacturer names, part numbers, product names, etc. The more information you have in the Excel file, the more information your products will have when uploaded.
Begin by clicking "Inventory/Positions" from the top menu, then click the "Upload Inventory" button from the top-right.
The first step will be to Upload an Excel(.xls) file. Simply click the "Browse" button and find the file you wish to upload.

After you submit the file, click "Test Upload" to make sure it is able to read the data. If everything is read successfully, you will be taken to the "Map Data" screen. Here, you will assign the Excel columns to specific data for the products.
Along with mapping this data, there are a few more options to consider. The upload assumes this is your current inventory up for sale. If it is instead a "Want To Buy" list, please check the corresponding box. If you upload your inventory solely from the Excel file every time, you can opt to delete your current inventory and replace it with the one in the Excel sheet. This is to prevent duplicate entries. Finally, if your excel file lists only one quantity item per line, you can ask Tango to group them all into one Quantity, so ten lines of the same product will simply be entered as one product, Quantity 10.
Once these steps are complete, your inventory will be added to Tango Trade! Feel free to review the newly entered inventory in your Inventory/Positions and make any necessary changes! |
